Prof. Moh'd Sami Ashhab

Biography: Prof. “Moh’d Sami” Ashhab earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering / control and dynamics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, U.S.A. in 1996 and 1998, respectively. After working for four years in industry in U.S.A., he joined the mechanical engineering department at the Hashemite University, Jordan in year 2002. Prof. Ashhab worked during 2015 – 2018 as a mechanical engineering professor at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah in UAE then he went back to the Hashemite University. He served as the editor-in-chief of the Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering during the period 2018 - 2022. In year 2020, Prof. Ashhab joined Al Hussein Technical University, Amman, Jordan and is currently the dean of scientific research and innovation. His research interests include control systems, automation, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, industrial applications, dynamical systems, optimization, simulation, and energy.
Prof. Hui Liu, Central South University, China

Biography: Prof. Dr. -Ing. habil. Hui Liu, a full Professor of Artificial Intelligence & Smart Cities at the Central South University (CSU), China. He is the one of the national young talents. Prof. Liu is also a deputy dean of the Faculty of Traffic and Transportation Engineering of CSU.
刘辉,现任中南大学二级教授、博士生导师、交通运输工程学院副院长、校学术委员会委员,入选国家万人计划青年拔尖人才、交通运输部青年科技英才、湖南省芙蓉学者奖励计划、湖南省科技人才托举工程中青年学者。入选斯坦福大学全球2%顶级科学家榜单(学科全球排名前0.216%)。入选2020年爱思唯尔中国高被引学者。在中南大学先后完成本、硕、博学习,2011年获得中南大学载运工具运用工程专业博士学位(获全国百篇优博提名),2013年获得德国罗斯托克大学自动化工程专业博士学位(优等生),2016年获得德国habilitation教授文凭。
Assoc. Prof. Wenfeng Hu, Central South University, China

Biography: Dr. Wenfeng Hu is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Automation, Central South University, Changsha, China. He received the B.Sc. degree in information and computing science from Chongqing University of Technology, Chongqing, China, in 2009, the M. Eng. degree in computer software and theory from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical and biomedical engineering from City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2016. In 2015 and 2016, he won the Outstanding Academic Performance Award in City University of Hong Kong, in 2019, he was awarded the "Zadeh Best Conference Paper Award Finalist" in IEEE ICCSS 2019 Conference, in 2021, he was awarded the "HNAAI Outstanding Master's Thesis Award" (as the supervisor). He has published more than 30 papers in the top peer-reviewed journals, including IEEE TAC, Automatica, and IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and 3 papers were among the 1% Highly Cited Paper by ESI.
His current research interests include multi-agent systems, networked control systems, event-triggered control, and high-speed train control and scheduling.
胡文峰,男,中南大学自动化学院副教授,硕士生导师,香港城市大学博士。2012年6月,获重庆大学计算机科学与技术硕士学位,2012年8月-2016年10月,在香港城市大学攻读博士学位,2017年进入中南大学信息科学与工程学院从事教学科研工作。于2015年,2016年连续两年获得香港城市大学“杰出学术表现奖”,2019年获得第六届信息、控制论及计算社会系统国际会议(IEEE ICCSS 2019)“扎德”最佳论文提名奖,2021年作为指导老师获得湖南省人工智能学会优秀硕士学位论文奖。主持国家自然科学基金1项,湖南省自然科学基金1项,中国博士后基金2项,参与国家自然科学基金重大项目等其他国家项目4项。近五年以第一作者(或通讯作者)在TAC、Automatica、IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics等学术杂志上发表学术论文30余篇,其中3篇论文曾入选ESI百分之一高被引论文。主要研究方向包括:多智能体系统分布式控制,多移动机器人协调控制,网络化控制系统,高铁的控制与调度。
Prof. Mehmet Emir KOKSAL
Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey
Biography: Mehmet Emir Koksal is a professor of applied mathematics at the Department of Mathematics of Ondokuz Mayıs University, Turkey. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Gebze Institute of Technology, Turkey in 2009. After receiving his Ph.D., he studied as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne. His research interests include time-varying systems, feedback systems, robust control, commutativity of continuous and discrete time-varying linear systems, decompositions of high-order systems, transitivity property of commutativity, and applications of commutativity in physical systems. He also studies ODEs, PDEs, numerical solution methods for PDEs, mathematical modeling of various engineering problems and the existence & uniqueness of solutions of ODEs. He has published many research papers in eligible international journals, and he has many proceedings presented at famous international conferences. He has received numerous grants and awards. He reviewed over 200 manuscripts for 60 different international peer-reviewed journals and 40 different international conferences. His research has been mainly supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. In this field, he has led two national projects, one of which was awarded a project performance award. Moreover, He has been a member of the organizing and scientific committees of many well-known international conferences.
